General Assembly 2026 | 31 August at PSI | keynote by Prof. Dr. Sebastian F. Maehrlein

The General Assembly of the SSPh will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 3 pm in the PSI Auditorium. It will start with a scientific presentation by Prof. Sebastian F. Maehrlein on high-field terahertz physics, followed by two short update presentations on recent developments at the SLS and SwissFEL and two short scientific contributions from early-career researchers.

The General Assembly of the SSPh will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 3 pm in the PSI Auditorium. It will start with a scientific
presentation by Prof. Sebastian F. Maehrlein who has a joint appointment with TU Dresden and Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf
(HZDR). His research focuses on high-field terahertz physics with a particular emphasis of applications of THz techniques to solid-state physics. His keynote will be followed by two short update presentations on recent developments at the SLS and SwissFEL, and, for the first time, by two short scientific contributions from early-career researchers. 
After the scientific presentations and the General Assembly, we will offer an apéro. Registration is required: Registration General Assembly 2026 SSPh .
